Case Paper Joins PPC

Case Paper recently joined the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC), the leading industry association serving suppliers and converters of all forms of paper-based packaging.

Paperboard packaging accounts for 71.3% of all packaging materials recovered for recycling, totaling nearly 27 million tons. When one buys a paperboard package, which began its journey as a tree from a certified managed forest, and that box is recycled, one is assured they have taken a definite step towards making the world a better place for future generations.

Unlike plastic, a tree is a naturally renewable resource, and it removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Virtually all virgin paperboard consumed in the U.S. today comes from tree farms, not rainforests. Trees are planted, harvested, and replanted specifically to be converted into paperboard.

“Our commitment to working with paperboard mills is paramount,” said Simon Schaffer, CMO at Case Paper. “We maintain a large inventory, complimented by state-of-the-art converting equipment, which permits us to provide customers with custom sizes and a fast turnaround.”
