Case Paper recently joined the Paperboard Packaging Council. In its 84th year, the PPC is the leading industry association serving suppliers and converters of all forms of paperboard packaging.
Paper packaging accounts for 71.3% of all packaging materials recovered for recycling, totaling nearly 27 million tons. When one buys a paperboard package which began its journey as a tree from a certified managed forest, and that box is recycled, one is assured they have taken a definite step towards making the world a better place for future generations. Unlike plastic, a tree is a naturally renewable resource, and it removes carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Virtually all virgin paperboard consumed in the United States today comes from tree farms, not rainforests. Trees are planted, harvested, and replanted specifically to be converted into paperboard.
“We support the paperboard packaging industry,” said Simon Schaffer, Chief Marketing Officer at Case Paper. “Our commitment to working with paperboard mills is paramount. We maintain a large inventory complimented by state of the art converting equipment. This permits us the ability to provide our customers with custom sizes and a fast turnaround.”
Case is excited to be part of the PPC and its mission of responsibility. Joining the PPC allows us to promote and facilitate the use of paperboard, and reflects our values as an industry, as a business, and as a family.
